Problem

Kia launched a new Ecommerce parts website, but SEO was an oversight. With poor attention to SEO best practices and technical flaws, the domain was struggling to compete for organic traffic even on branded searches.

Solution

I was part of a small SEO team responsible for restructuring the Kia Parts website and optimizing for SEO. We landed on a comprehensive strategy consisting of URL restructuring, redirecting old URLs, implementing open graph and schema markup, performing product keyword research, and developing an automated solution to mass-upload meta descriptions with an FTP protocol.

Results

Within 120 days, the Kia Parts website achieved:

140% in overall organic users

720% increase in total clicks

3,590% increase in dealer requests
